Why join North Harbour Cycling Club?

NHCC serves the North Harbour and West Auckland cycling communities. There is a comprehensive racing programme that caters to all age groups and our members are always willing to give help and advice to new riders. You are welcome to come along to 3 races to try cycle racing before you join the club.

Club races are generally much cheaper to enter than commercially organised events because they are run by volunteers. All club members are expected to give some time back to the club by helping out at races. This provides another opportunity to become familiar with the sport of cycle racing. From time-to-time, training courses for some support areas such as traffic management and race commissaires are available. Many people are needed at each race for the safety of the riders. Parents, spouses and friends often provide much of this support and we are grateful for their input.

Which membership is for me?

Club Membership

A club membership allows entry into North Harbour club races only. It does not allow racing in inter-club races organized by other clubs, centre or national events (even those that are run by North Harbour Cycling club). Club membership includes a BikeNZ club licence.

Centre Membership

A centre membership allows entry into all club and interclub races, as well as Auckland centre championships. It does not include national championships. Auckland centre clubs are Akarana, Counties Manukau, Marsden Wheelers and North Harbour. Centre membership includes a BikeNZ centre licence.

National Membership

A national membership allows entry into club, centre and national races including national championships and open events outside the Auckland centre. National membership includes a BikeNZ national licence.

International membership

An international membership can be used for entry into all the events national membership allows plus international competition. Insurance is required when racing internationally. Details are available here.

Fees

Please include the total fees shown below with your application. We will pass on the regional and national portions of the fee. Payment can be made by cheque or by direct debit. Payment details are included on the application form.
